Charitable Giving: A Topic Near and Dear to My Heart

One thing that I love about our team here at Franklin Loan Center is the commitment that everyone has to charitable giving. This topic has been a big theme for us this week because they are giving back to something very near and dear to my heart. The events started with a golf tournament this past Sunday to raise money for this cause.

There is an organization called Easton Harlan Calzada Foundation. My cousin Tim had a son named Easton, who was born with Trisome 18. Unfortunately, Easton was only with us for about 16 months due to these medical problems. Even though he was only around for a short time, he had a more positive impact than most of us will have in our lifetimes. We were changed in ways that you would have never expected.

It has been amazing for Franklin Loan Center to jump on board with this cause. They even made the foundation the “Charity of the Month.” All the proceeds will go to the Children’s Hospital LA in Easton’s name.

Gratitude for Being a Part of Such a Wonderful Team

I just wanted to share my thoughts to let everyone know how proud and grateful I am to be a part of a great company. It has been amazing to be involved with Easton’s foundation. I know that it means a lot to his dad, Tim. These donations mean that Easton will get a tile on the wall at Children’s Hospital, LA, which is a wonderful way to remember the impact that Easton had on our lives.

This foundation helps his legacy to live on so that we can continue to remember the good that he brought to the world in the short time he was here.
